The Senate Department for Economics, Technology and Women’s Issues is a state authority responsible for promoting business and industry in Berlin. It works to support companies active in the city. Games Academy
The Games Academy(tm) GmbH, state approved vocational school for Game Design based in Berlin, is Europes leading academy for the education of professional Game Designers, Game 3D-programmers, Game Artists and producers. The Games Academy was founded 2002 as the first specialised school for he computer- and videogame industry in Germany. The academy offers its students a modern education related to practice in the games industry.

BIU, the Federal Association of Interactive Entertainment Software
BIU, the Federal Association of Interactive Entertainment Software (Bundesverband Interaktive Unterhaltungssoftware e.V. – BIU), is the German body which represents all publishers and suppliers of interactive entertainment software. BIU is the central point of reference for political and civic institutions, the media as well as interested stakeholders. It provides all relevant information regarding computer and video games. BIU actively promotes the responsible use of computer and video games and helps to foster media literacy in society. Furthermore, BIU is the promoting agency for the annual Games Convention. This is the massive consumer and trade fair for computer and video games that has met in Leipzig since 2002. As a host or co-organizer of conferences, workshops and round table discussions BIU furnishes information about a sector that enhances innovation and entertains a growing audience, currently numbering several million customers.

G.A.M.E. (German Games Developer Association)
G.A.M.E. Bundesverband der Entwickler von Computerspielen e.V. is the German Games Developer Association, founded in March 2004. German Developer, Producer and Publisher are working very close together to strengthen and to improve the market enviroments for games developing in Germany. More than 60 companys are members of G.A.M.E., e.g. popular developers or publishers like Ascaron, BigPoint, CipSoft, Intel, Piranha Bytes, Radonlabs or Yager Development.
